Chief Financial Officer

The person in this position will direct all financial functions for the company including finance, accounting & control, tax & reporting, planning & budget management and investor relations. The candidate will become a key member of the executive team, and should be prepared to roll up his/her sleeves to make contributions across the company, including participating in overall company leadership, strategic & tactical planning and organizational improvement.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership to the company in its efforts to raise capital at successive stages of development. This requires a strong familiarity and capability for dealing effectively in private and public capital markets.

Direct the appropriate financial processes and systems enabling the company to accurately plan for and predict its performance and resource requirements.

Fulfill all accounting and tax reporting functions and responsibilities.

Maintain a collaborative approach that makes the financial function integral to the company's management team and other functional areas.

Qualifications
A minimum of 10 years of high quality experience in appropriate financial leadership roles is required, preferably acting as Chief Financial Officer. Candidates must bring broad experience in directing the range of financial functions. The nature of this experience should draw upon sound judgment, strong financial acumen, technical qualifications and analytical and planning abilities demonstrated in handling similar challenges.

Experience in running the financial activities of a dynamic, growing company is highly desirable. Experience with establishing appropriate financial systems and processes for such an emerging business is ideal. Sensitivity to the appropriate scale of these activities is essential.

We seek candidates who have experienced intense, sustained involvement with the processes of executing private and public financing, and merger & acquisition activities.

Leadership qualities need to be clear, and there is a need for excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear and concise information to all constituencies. This is characterized by strong motivational skills with an ability to develop alternative courses of action and to make things happen.

Solid business acumen and judgment are required, with the ability to comprehend the company's services, leverage points, markets and competitive dynamics.

A high level of integrity and honesty in all activities and interactions is essential.
