Technology Trainer Ed McCarthy Joins Horsesmouth

NEW YORK, October 1, 1999—Software and technology trainer Ed McCarthy has joined the expanding group of experts featured at Horsesmouth, an online training and support network for financial advisors.

McCarthy has published widely on finance and business topics, and moderates online chats for MONEY magazine. His first book, The Financial Advisor's Analytical Toolbox: Using Technology to Optimize Client Solutions, demonstrates the range of technology and finance knowledge that McCarthy brings to Horsesmouth.

"Ed McCarthy specializes in teaching financial advisors to use technology with maximum effectiveness," said William T. Nicklin, Horsesmouth managing director and co-founder. "We look forward to his insights on how financial advisors can improve their skills by blending emerging technology with current practices."

McCarthy joins a growing list of more than 30 experts at Horsesmouth.

Based in New York City, Horsesmouth is a private training and coaching network for financial advisors, delivered over the Internet and available exclusively to financial professionals.

Founded in 1996 by Mr. Nicklin and his father William F. Nicklin, Horsesmouth helps financial professionals identify, serve and retain clients by providing a wealth of practical, business-building ideas, commentary, analyses and features. William T. Nicklin is a former analyst with the world's leading information technology research and advisory firm, and his father, William F. Nicklin is a veteran broker and branch manager at a major financial services firm.

"We created Horsesmouth to help financial advisors get clients and keep clients," said the senior Nicklin. "We believe that knowledgeable financial advisors will have even a greater role in personal finance in the future, and we're using the latest technology to help them succeed."

Financial advisors can become Horsesmouth members individually for an affordable monthly fee, or as part of a firm-wide program.
