NEW YORK, October 1, 1999—Horsesmouth announced today that marketing expert Leon Altman has joined its financial advisor training and support service as a featured expert and will share his two decades of experience, knowledge and insights with financial advisors.

Altman, who delivers his knowledge in an irreverent and jocular style, works exclusively with financial clients. Previously, he was a copywriter and creative director at Young & Rubican, BBDO and DDB/Needham agencies.

"Leon's experiences and expertise in marketing and investor relations are invaluable to Horsesmouth members, and we look forward to his contributions," said William T. Nicklin, Horsesmouth managing director and co-founder.

His editorial credits include such financial trade publications as Researchand Buyside magazines, as well as the consumer oriented Investor Direct magazine. He specializes in answering questions and providing information and solutions to common marketing problems confronting financial advisors.

Currently, Altman is president of New York-based Altman Communications, a marketing and public relations consultancy with special expertise in financial services. He joins a growing list of more than 35 experts at Horsesmouth.

Founded in 1996 by Mr. Nicklin and his father William F. Nicklin, Horsesmouth helps financial professionals identify, serve and retain clients by providing a wealth of practical, business-building ideas, commentary, analyses and features. William T. Nicklin is a former analyst with the world's leading information technology research and advisory firm, and his father, William F. "We created Horsesmouth to help financial advisors get clients and keep clients," said co-founder William F. Nicklin, Sr. "We believe that knowledgeable financial advisors will have [an even] greater role in personal finance in the future, and we're using the latest technology to help them succeed."
