"Using the Net" area launched at Horsesmouth

NEW YORK, Dec. 21, 1999—A new area on Horsesmouth, "Using the Net", offers financial advisors reviews, tutorials and a select list of Web sites to help Horsesmouth members make efficient use of the Internet.

Financial advisors will increasingly use the Internet to find and keep clients. "In the new decade ahead, financial advisors will communicate with and service their clients over the Internet," said William T. Nicklin, managing director of Horsesmouth. "Our 'Using the Net' area will show them how to make that transition."

In its first phase, Using the Net introduces a Web directory with more than 200 links to Web sites that guide financial advisors in the investment process, covering such topics as analyst calls, charts & graphs, earnings, company profiles, calendars, insider trading, IPOs, mutual funds, bonds, currencies, futures and options. There are also links to important regulatory and rating agencies, foreign exchanges and business news and commentary.

Additional phases of the Web directory will include areas devoted to prospecting, sales, marketing and a wide range of educational and training sites in the financial services arena.

Also featured on Using the Net are regular reviews of financial services Web sites that explain how advisors can best use them in their practice.
